Our commitment to optimal animal nutrition has made us the largest feed company in Africa and the leading supplier of innovative, high-performance feed solutions. An exciting opportunity exists for two Millwright Apprentices at Meadow Feeds Standerton to join our team.

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

  • Participate in the formal training plan for the apprenticeship, make reasonable progress to achieve the competencies in this regard and attend the necessary training or assessment related hereto.
  • Perform duties required and make reasonable progress to achieve the competencies in the training plan.
  • As instructed, undertake and attend any training or assessment related to the training plan.
  • Keep the training record (logbook) in their possession and produce it to the employer and/ or training organisation when requested.
  • Acknowledge that all workplace instructions and other material that comes into the apprentice’s possession, as a result of training remains the property of the employer.
  • Maintain, repair and optimise plant and assosciated devices under guidance of qualified Artisans/Technicians.
  • Obey all workplace health and safety (including dress and equipment) and code of conduct workplace rules.

    The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Obtained Grade 12(Matric) with Mathematics and Science, or Technical Matric.
  • National Technical Certificate – N2 or higher in the relevant engineering discipline.
  • He/she must be ambitious and dedicated, making full use of the opportunities the industry has to offer.
  • Must be a team player with high energy level and be action orientated.
  • Mental alertness, analytical and problem solving skills, and good attention to detail.
  • Conceptual skills.
  • The successful candidate will be required to enter a formal learnership agreement with the company and AgriSETA.
