The ideal candidate would be responsible for:
β’ The verification of all purchase orders and the placing of all orders with suppliers;
β’ Ensuring that all paperwork is completed on a daily basis regarding purchase order verification and orders placed;
β’ Ensuring a constant flow of paperworkΒ
β’ Solving of all queries with suppliers;
β’ Ensuring cost saving at all times, not at the expense of quality of products;
β’ Ensuring that protocols are followed in terms of account requirements with suppliers;
β’ Responsible for any ad-hoc tasks required by the Procurement Manager and management from time-to-time;
β’ Stand-in duties for the Purchasing department as and when required;
β’ Sourcing of documents which have expired from existing suppliers, to ensure compliance;
β’ Daily completion of RTPβs and follow up on all outstanding orders on a daily basis to ensure that all documentation is up to date;

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

β’ Grade 12 a must and certification in Buying (would be an advantage)
β’ Minimum of 5 yearsβ experience in a buying environment
β’ 5 years previous experience in the FMCG/Food processing and manufacturing industry will be a distinct advantageΒ
β’ ERP systems experience will be an added advantage
β’ 2-3 years MS Office experience MS Outlook and MS ExcelΒ
β’ Valid driverβs license and own transport essentialΒ
β’ Able to work weekends, public holidays and out of usual working hours as required
