1. Main Function of the Role

The Operations Manager is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and financial leadership across the Daures Green Hydrogen Village operations. The role oversees the integrated functions of hospitality, agriculture, and green hydrogen–ammonia–fertilizer production to ensure efficiency, profitability, sustainability, and continued organizational growth. The position leads multidisciplinary teams, manages stakeholder relationships, and ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

2. Key Performance Areas

β€’ Strategic & Operational Leadership
– Execute operational strategies across all business units: hospitality, agriculture, and hydrogen/ammonia/fertilizer production.
– Ensure alignment with the Village’s long-term vision and growth plans.

β€’ Financial Oversight
– Manage budgets, financial planning, and performance monitoring.
– Ensure compliance with financial controls and support revenue growth across units.

β€’ Cross-Sector Operations Management
– Oversee day-to-day functioning of hospitality facilities, agricultural operations, and green energy production.
– Drive productivity, efficiency, and optimal resource utilization.

β€’ People Management & Leadership
– Lead multidisciplinary teams and promote a high-performance culture.
– Oversee staffing, performance management, training, and development.

β€’ Compliance, Safety & ESG
– Ensure adherence to legal, environmental, and safety standards.
– Lead and enforce ESG policies and risk mitigation processes.

β€’ Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
– Coordinate with partners, contractors, regulators, community representatives, and project stakeholders.
– Provide regular progress and performance reports to the Board.

β€’ Brand, Growth & Continuous Improvement
– Maintain and elevate the Village’s brand as a leading green hydrogen and sustainable agricultural initiative.
– Champion innovation, optimization, and operational excellence.

3. Qualifications & Experience

β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is advantageous).
β€’ Minimum 10 years of professional experience, of which 5 years must be in a senior management role.
β€’ Proven leadership in multi-sector or complex operational environments.
β€’ Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following:
– Hospitality or eco-tourism operations
– Agricultural production or agri-processing
– Energy, industrial, or chemical manufacturing
– Strategy implementation and business administration
β€’ Strong financial management experience overseeing large or complex budgets.
β€’ Ability to manage operations in rural, project-driven, and rapidly expanding environments.
