Role Purpose:

The Pre-Opening Revenue Manager will work alongside the Pre-Opening Commercial Director and the Pre-Opening General Manager to develop and implement a complete revenue and sales strategy for all new properties joining the Newmark Portfolio. This will include the presentation of these strategies to the property owners and a full handover of the completed product to the commercial team – once the property has been opened and is operating. The goal is to maximize overall revenue and profit for all new properties through the development and implementation of effective inventory and pricing strategies based on future demand forecasts, current trends, and historical data. Responsible for determining the optimal mix of business and managing distribution strategies on all channels to increase revenue and drive market share.  Communicate revenue management strategic vision to the leadership team at Newmark.

Required Experience:

  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in Revenue Management.
  • Computer Literacy: Opera PMS, Channel Mangers, Word & Excel.

Required Qualification:

  • Hospitality diploma/ equivalent preferable.

  • Strong guest-centric approach.
  • Must be able to work in a team or independently.
  • Previous experience with revenue reporting and online travel agents.

Responsibilities:

  • To conduct pre-opening meetings with Owners, management company and project team and provide them with necessary inputs involving revenue targets and sales strategies
  • Prepare and present pre-opening process presentation to Owners and hotel commercial team, explain the various stages and nuances of pre-opening, including the standard requirements and compliances that are required
  • Create and establish the property on defined target markets, business management, and develop and fulfill the defined business plan at a hotel & company level
  • Design effective and successful sales, pricing, distributions, and yielding strategies to achieve and enhance profitability.
  • Set effective systems and controls to ensure the consistent smooth running of departments.
  • Create, maintain and encourage excellent public and employee relations.
  • Establish a proactive approach to the selling, marketing and merchandising of the full portfolio of activities throughout the hotel.
  • Using corporate templates for all pre-opening documents, which includes list of operating supplies, insurance checklist, pre-opening budget etc.
  • Develop the pre-opening budget for each hotel along with HR and Commercial Services.
  • To coordinate with the Technical Services and Development team to ensure uniformity in pre-opening reporting numbers, and regularly update project status.
  • Rewrite any deviation from the standard SOPs for Newmark that might have to be altered due to the operational requirements of the new hotel or lodge.
  • Work alongside the Group Systems Manager to set up and co-ordinate all commercial systems and booking engines – including and not limited to hotel website, online travel agents and bedbanks.
