ROLE SUMMARY

This role entails handling all inbound and outbound calls, registration of new instructions on the system, appointing internal/external assessors, re-scheduling unmet assessors’ appointments and arranging assessments. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4
  • RE (Regulatory Examination) would be an advantage

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the Insurance industry

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtain all necessary information to register new instructions received on the New Claims/Notifications Inbox.
  • Register all new instructions on DAS which are received on the New Claims/Notifications Inbox.
  • Accept all new instructions excluding ABSA claims that do not appear on Codeplex in accordance with your designated geographical region
  • Delay all ABSA new instructions that do not appear on Codeplex with a valid and detailed reason
  • Attend to a minimum of 30 new instructions before close of business daily
  • Where the Insured cannot be contacted on the details provided:
  • Obtain alternative contact details from the Insurer
  • Send a detailed sms via the DAS systems to the Insured regarding your attempt to arrange an appointment
  • Delay the instruction with a valid and detailed reason
  • Ensure that assessors are appointed to their fullest capacity within their designated geographical regions by constantly making use of the Google Diary
  • Re-schedule unmet assessor appointments when requested
  • Arrange re-assessments in accordance with the availability of all parties concerned i.e., Insured/Broker/Assessor/Service Provider
  • Attend to all inbound and outbound query calls to the best of your capability Attend to all queries received via email to the best of your capability
  • Transfer all inbound query calls to the relevant persons only when necessary
  • Redirect complaints/queries to the designated Complaints Manager in accordance with the set processes and procedures
  • Ensure that all contentious matters are referred to the Admin Manager for actioning
  • Efficiently and effectively attend to all relevant administrative requests received from Internal Adjusters, Assessors, and the DAS Queries person
  • Efficiently and effectively attend to all reasonable requests from Management and the Complaints Manager
  • Assist in the workload in the absence of your colleagues
  • Make a note on the DAS journal each time an action is taken on an instruction
  • It is expected that you will show and treat all clients, suppliers, fellow agents and management with respect and dignity at all times and that you will look after all Digicall property and the premises as your own.
