Main Function of the Role

The Internal Auditor is responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on internal audits across the business to evaluate risk management, internal controls, and compliance. The role supports management and the audit committee by providing independent assurance, identifying control gaps, recommending improvements, and promoting accountability, integrity, and operational efficiency across CYMOT.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits across business units.

• Assess internal controls, compliance, and risk management processes.

• Review financial and operational records for accuracy and compliance.

• Identify control gaps, fraud risks, and improvement opportunities.

• Prepare audit reports with clear, actionable recommendations.

• Conduct follow-up audits and support fraud investigations.

• Engage with management and the audit committee.

 

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Internal Auditing.

• CIA qualification or postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.

• 3–5 years’ relevant audit experience (retail experience preferred).

• Strong Excel and data analysis skills; SAGE X3 experience advantageous.

• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
