1. Main Functions:

  • Perform Monthly Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
  • Reconcile Clearing Accounts and handle discrepancies promptly.
  • Accurately process Journals, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Conduct month-end procedures, including provision calculations to ensure timely financial close.
  • Maintain robust Financial Control to monitor budgets, expenses, and financial compliance.
  • Prepare, review, and present Financial Reports for management insights.
  • Calculate and submit VAT & Import VAT returns in compliance with regulations.
  • Manage Fuel Card Control and Reconciliation for efficient expense tracking.

2. Key Performance:

  • Timely completion of month-end procedures with accurate financial reporting.
  • Effective management of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
  • Compliance with VAT regulations and accurate submissions to avoid penalties.
  • Consistent adherence to internal controls for financial operations.
  • Efficiently process and review financial journals to maintain updated records.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability in handling confidential financial data.
  • Present financial information clearly to management and stakeholders.
  • Support continuous process improvements for financial efficiency and control.

3. Experience:

  • Namibian Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans; proficiency in a third language is advantageous.
  • Bachelor of Accounting Degree or other recognized financial qualifications preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, with exposure to the automotive industry being a plus.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with V10 software is advantageous, along with general computer literacy.
