Purpose

Pupkewitz Megatech Renewable Energy is seeking a technically skilled Technical and Sales Support Specialist to provide expert technical support to contractors, and internal sales teams while driving business growth within our renewable energy division.

This role combines technical expertise with business development by supporting system design, commissioning, troubleshooting, contractor engagement, product development, and training initiatives to ensure exceptional customer service and sustainable business growth.

 

Requirements

  • Completed NSSCO/NSSCAS or Grade 12.
  • Tertiary qualification, Degree or Trade Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a solar or electrical technical support environment.
  •  Valid Code B driver's licence.
  • Strong understanding of Low Voltage AC/DC electrical systems.
  • Sound knowledge of solar inverters, lithium battery systems, and renewable energy products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/business systems.
  • Excellent analytical, technical problem-solving, and customer service skills.

 

Key Result Areas

  • Provide technical support to internal sales team
  • Provide technical support, system troubleshooting, and commissioning to contractors.
  • Review quotations for internal sales teams to ensure technical compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and installers.
  •  Identify business opportunities during site callouts and while providing technical support to contractors, contributing to renewable energy sales growth.
  • Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and recommend new products and solutions.
  • Conduct technical product training for contractors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Support procurement through product evaluation, sourcing recommendations, and inventory planning.
  • Ensure efficient administration, accurate documentation, and exceptional customer service.
  • Promote the Renewable Energy brand through technical engagement and industry support.

  • Technically minded with good analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • English language proficiency (Multilingual skills will be an added advantage)
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.
  • Detail-oriented with good planning and organisational skills.
  • Team player with a passion for continuous learning and renewable energy innovation.
