Duties and Responsibilities:

• Undertakes appropriate corrective and preventative maintenance of security and safety equipment and systems or gets such work done, from reputable maintenance contractors;
• Performs backup and recovery mechanisms for technical security systems;
• Responds promptly to reported faults to minimize downtime;
• Determines the required spares for security and safety equipment and maintains inventory;
• Write software programmes (routines) to configure various components of the systems as necessary;
• Develops training material and conduct training for operating personnel;
• Analyze technical and operational capability of relevant security and safety hardware and software and make recommendations on their adoption;
• Monitor systems performance to ensure that they comply to laid down operational requirements;
• Supervises security installations and their maintenance in all Bank facilities including official residences and housing estates;
• Contribute to the formulation of a new electronic security system design scope and specifications;
• Monitors, supervises and maintains familiarity with all new security projects and refurbishments under construction;
• Maintains Operations and Maintenance Manuals for security installations within the Bank;
• Conducts regular inspections on security and safety systems to ensure their availability and serviceability; 
• Maintains liaison with suppliers and contractors regarding installations, repairs and maintenance of security equipment;
• Provides support services to security and safety systems end-users;
• Procures technical security related equipment and consumables budgeted for;
• Ensures that radiation equipment (X-ray) conforms to radiation protection statutes and standards;
• Monitors computer network and systems for security threads and breaches;
• Implement cyber security measures in accordance with established procedures to ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability and authentication;
• Prepares draft estimates for security maintenance expenditures; and
• Undertakes such other related duties as directed by the Assistant manager/Manager (Technical).

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronic, Telecommunications Engineering or Telecommunications Systems or Computer Science plus
• Two (2) years post qualification experience in related field like electronic/electrical systems maintenance e.g. CCTV camera systems, access control systems, fire detection systems, X-Rays, radio communication systems, etc
