Purpose

Guided by collaboration, integrity, accountability, growth, and Purpose, the HR Business Partner plays a pivotal role in upholding and embedding the Companyβs Code of Honor across every stage of the employee lifecycle.
Working closely with the Head of HR, the HR Business Partner provides end-to-end HR support aligned to Megatechβs strategic and operational objectives.
The role takes ownership of talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, employee relations, health & safety compliance, wellness initiatives, and HR systems administration - ensuring the people strategy effectively enables business performance.
Requirements
- Honours degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 yearsβ HR generalist or HR Business Partner experience, preferably within a retail, operational, and multi-site environment.
- Strong working knowledge of the Namibian Labour Act, disciplinary procedures, and employee relations best practice.
- Experience supporting performance management, training, and talent initiatives.
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems (SmartHR or similar systems advantageous)
- Ability to coach, influence, and partner with line management at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Multilingual would serve as an added advantage.
Key Result Areas
- Lead talent acquisition, onboarding and offboarding, ensuring strong cultural alignment and compliance.
- Own the training and development function, including skills gap analysis, NTA coordination, and learning effectiveness.
- Compile, maintain, and submit accurate employment equity reports in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Support and continuously improve performance management processes.
- Provide hands-on employee relations support, including investigations, hearings, and Labour Act compliance.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation, HR policies, and governance standards.
- Support payroll inputs and maintain accurate HRIS records.
- Champion occupational health & safety, statutory compliance, and SHE culture.
- Coordinate employee engagement, wellness and sport initiatives aligned to the annual HR calendar.
- Support organisational change, engagement, retention, and succession planning initiatives.
- Prepare and submit HR management reporting.
