Role Summary

Botswana Life is looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill in the role of Driver/Messenger. To provide transport and mesenterial services to the Company and its subsidiaries through the provision of timely collection and distribution of mail and parcels across the BLIL network. And to provide chauffeur services for board members and visitors.

Role Responsibilities

  • Transport visitors, Board members and EXCO to their destinations
  • Submission of tax clearance requests for claims at BURS
  • Payment for utilities i.e. at BPC and WUC
  • Monitor motor vehicle conditions, report wear and tear and advice on replacements.
  • Process, dispatch and deliver mail, parcels, merchandise to external stakeholders and the Branches.
  • Collect and distribute newspapers.
  • Inspects vehicles after usage by staff including the usage of the logbooks and motor vehicle issuing.
  • Receive and distribute mail, parcels from couriers or the Branches to the staff.
  • Collect, sort and distribute internal mail within Offices.

Experience and Role-Specific Knowledge

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Driver.
  • BGCSE/ O'levels
  • Drivers license
  • Department of Road Transport procedures
  • Transport Policy
  • Business rules
  • Company Policies
  • Sober habit
