Maintenance Artisan (Boiler Maker)  Agric Rustenburg

Role Purpose:

  • Agric Inland is looking for a Boiler Maker Artisan to join our Chicken Agriculture Division. We are looking for a qualified Boiler Maker Artisan with strong Technical experience to join our team. The successful incumbent should have strong supervisory experience to manage a team and work closely with production team. 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Boiler Maker Trade Certificate
  • Relevant N3/N4 Technical Certificate
  • Drivers license

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Supervisory/leadership skills
  • Knowledge and application of disciplinary processes
  • Administrative knowledge
  • Boiler making
  • Mechanical
  • Minimum 3 – 5 Years experience as a qualified boiler maker in industrial manufacturing environments.

 

Mechanical

  • Repair and maintain existing boilers and pressure vessels to ensure safe and efficient operation in accordance with the maintenance plan and schedule.
  • Planning of work according to maintenance plan and schedule and per breakdown.
  • Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Render assistance to handyman on faults that cannot be solved on their level of required competence
  • Daily inspection of all work completed at Agriculture buildings and issuing of certificate of compliance

 

Storage and Maintenance of Tools

  • Identify the types of tools, equipment and materials required.  
  • Once work has been completed, request that the supervisor inspect the workmanship. 
  • Perform duties as per requirements to eliminate down time or eliminate hazards / safety issues.

  • Training and development of maintenance handyman under direct control to artisan level
  • Discipline of maintenance handyman under direct control
  • Daily issue of certificate of compliance on any machine or equipment where any engineering related work was executed
  • Issue daily job cards and inspect work executed
  • Daily time sheets
  • Order equipment and spares in terms of the BR and SSR Process
  • Training and development of all personnel under direct control as per departmental training and development plan
  • Perform standby duties
