DIGITAL MARKETING AND CORPORATE SPECIALIST

Job Summary:

The role of Digital Marketing and Corporate Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementation of the company's digital media strategies and platforms working collectively with the overachieving PR, Communications and Marketing discipline for a unison attainment of departmental goals and objectives. This will be in coherent alignment to existing pathways partnering closely with the extended PR, Communications and Marketing function and her associated sub brands, as and when they develop.
 
Key Performance Areas
• Handling strategic online initiatives from all Botswana Life corporate platforms
• Leading digital and social marketing campaigns from the idea stage through to their execution and implementation
• Monitoring and evaluating online media campaigns to keep them fresh and effective
• Influence to the BIHL Group Head: PR, Comms & Marketing  on the hiring of marketing and promotions subcontracted work and negotiating all digital advertising contracts
• Working with other department heads through the BIHL Group Head: PR, Communications and Marketing and staff compliment to discuss plans and marketing strategies benefiting to ROI 
• Collaborating with finance staff to set and stay within budget  
• Staying current with emerging opportunities in the digital marketing world
• Continuous analytics and agile campaigning.
• Continuous input into improving the user experience on the platform and elevating the competitive edge.
• Execute and coordinate all digital marketing activities of Botswana Life
• Plan, communicate and execute the different brand and sub brands of Botswana Life with keen focus on digital campaigns and initiatives in line with the annual Botswana Life calendar/schedule.
• Engage with digital media agencies and ensure the development and execution of the digital marketing strategy.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure execution of digital marketing activities in support of the achievement of business goals.
• Ensure brand consistency and protection of digital properties.
• Track and report campaign and online marketing success through effective measurement metrics.  Make recommendations for improvement and take corrective steps.
• Identify trends and communicate learnings and intelligence of online marketing capability to the business.
• Developing and implementing comprehensive digital marketing programs across all digital channels including web, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media and display advertising campaigns, in line with brand plans and business priorities
• Working with content marketing and design teams to create suitable content for each stage of a customer’s digital journey
• Develop and update the social media strategy in line with industry output
• Manage the digital strategy and contracted IMC Agencies in line with the social media policy
• Manages all online queries for the various digital platforms, ensuring responsive levels on no more than 12 hours after query is logged (including weekend activities)
• Affiliate the main PR, Comms & Marketing strategy with the digital strategy for maximum positive output
• Reviewing and optimising the design and content of all online assets including the company website and social media pages
• Planning and assist the BIHL Group Head: PR, Communications and Marketing  in management of the digital marketing budget and spend by allocating budgets to different channels
• Using A/B testing to optimize digital marketing performance, as well as other tools for optimum ROI
• Analysing the results and effectiveness of campaigns to deliver actionable insights and recommendations and generating monthly reports on the digital marketing portfolio
• Working on Search Engine Optimization and app store optimization
• Regularly monitoring user analytics and using these insights to drive strategies to secure downloads and improve customer engagement
• Ensuring that marketing and communications efforts adhere to agreed timelines and managing expectations with various stakeholders
 
Knowledge 
• Knowledge of web design and management
• Good knowledge of Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Audacity or other media editing software
• Have good knowledge of various aspects of digital marketing including SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, marketing automation and digital marketing analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Tableau.

Experience
• 4 years of experience with visual communication and marketing methods
• Have a Digital Marketing experience, Brand management and/or Public Relations exposure or within a similar role
• Experience with digital and social media content management
 
Qualification
• Degree in Marketing, Digital Media or relevant field
• Additional qualification in web design or animation is a plus
