About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Small Plant & Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Walvis Bay. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with 2-stroke, 4-stroke, and diesel engines, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage tasks independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, service, and repair small plant and equipment (including 2-stroke, 4-stroke, and diesel engines).
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and resolve them promptly.
• On-site repairs and maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on machinery and systems.
• Keep detailed service records.
• Deliveries and collections of equipment and general driver duties.
• Assist with general workshop duties and support fellow team members.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance and repair.
• Solid knowledge of small plant.
• Grade 12 (Senior Secondary Certificate)
• ​A National Vocational Certificate (Level 3 or higher) in Diesel Mechanics, Motor Mechanics, or Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Presentable and well-spoken.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• A strong team player.
• Good trade references required.
