1.Main Function of the Role

The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) is responsible for the successful day-to-day operation of a KFC restaurant. This role involves leading a team to deliver exceptional service, ensuring compliance with operational, financial, and food safety standards, and driving growth and profitability. The RGM will use systems like GAAP POS to manage inventory, coordinate catering, and analyze business performance. A critical focus will be placed on developing staff, enhancing customer satisfaction, and meeting strategic business objectives.

 

2.Key Performance Areas

Operational Management

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations with a focus on efficiency and adherence to KFC and company standards.
  • Effectively use the GAAP POS system for order processing, stock control, and operational reporting.
  • Coordinate and execute catering services, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.

. Team Leadership and Development

  • Recruit, train, and mentor team members in line with company values and performance expectations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for continuous improvement.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Ensure consistent delivery of outstanding customer experiences.

Health, Safety, and Cleanliness

  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation of all areas of the restaurant.

  • Develop and manage budgets, control expenses, and monitor financial performance.
  • Implement business strategies to achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities for growth.

 

3.Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or Business Administration is an advantage.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a managerial role within the food service industry, preferably with KFC.
  • Hands-on experience using GAAP POS or similar restaurant management systems.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage catering events and high-volume operations.

.Industry Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, staffing, and customer engagement.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, health regulations, and compliance practices.
