1. Main Function of the Role

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient management of stock within the branch. The role involves maintaining correct stock levels, conducting regular audits, monitoring product condition and expiry, ensuring proper stock rotation, and keeping product displays organized. The incumbent works to minimize stock discrepancies, support operational efficiency, and provide management with accurate inventory information for decision-making.

2. Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

  • Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Identify, investigate, and report discrepancies such as missing, damaged, or excess items.
  • Ensure stock rotation (FIFO) is followed to prevent expired or aging inventory.
  • Monitor product expiry dates and coordinate removal of expired or obsolete stock.
  • Maintain accurate and organized stock records in the inventory management system.
  • Perform spot checks on high-value and fast-moving items.
  • Ensure neat, well-labeled, and fully replenished product displays.
  • Prepare stock reports and audit summaries for management review.
  • Comply with company stock handling procedures, safety regulations, and housekeeping standards.

3. Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 / High School Certificate (required).
  • Certificate or Diploma in Inventory or Warehouse Management (advantageous).
  • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in an inventory coordinator or similar role.
  • Experience in the automotive spares industry is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with stock management systems and MS Excel.
  • Experience conducting stock audits and reconciliations.

  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Valid Namibian Driver’s License (compulsory).
