The Sage 300 Implementation Consultant will primarily be responsible for the Project Management, Implementation, and Quality Assurance of multiple clients. They will also be responsible to take a client live on the Sage 300 system before the handover takes place to the Payroll Consultant. The incumbent will also act as an advisor to clients and advise on correct and/or best practices where changes in legislation are concerned.
The incumbent must have a good understanding of the Sage 300 People modules to be implemented and know how to set up and configure the system so that the Sage 300 People functions and processes will generate the data output for businesses as required, following the mapping of the business and functional requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum: Senior certificate or NQF 4 equivalent.
• Preferred: National Diploma or Degree in Business/ Finance/ Accounting/ Payroll
• Advantageous: Certified Payroll & HR Practitioner (Sage 300 People and WebSS/ESS)
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years Sage 300 Payroll and Implementation experience.
- Advanced MS Excel ability.
- Project Management experience
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of MRBM’s Sage 300 People project implementation methodology.
- Good understanding of the Sage 300 People modules, system setup and configuration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete a detailed needs analysis on setup requirements.
- Project manage all clients.
- Ensure the configuration of setups within a required deadline is adhered to.
- Quality control of setup and testing of all calculations.
- Provide support to Nova users as well as external clients.
- Assisting with a parallel run for new clients
- Completing and updating the blueprint for all client setups.
- Writing of customized reports on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
- Assist with/implement first-line Training for clients.
- Independent problem-solving ability when required.
- Maintaining the Administrative processes and procedures.
- Assist in providing guidance to the Junior Payroll Consultants.
- Display working knowledge of surrounding business systems and the manner in which SAGE 300 should be integrated with these systems.
- Consideration of clients’ migration and implementation plans that address both their tactical and strategic needs.
- Writing client-specific training material (where required) to ensure the required skills transfer as well as Training clients on the Sage 300 People system to streamline business processes.
- Presenting Sage 300 People training to the users of the system and verifying that the system is usable, performing according to the requirement specifics and that the business flow is complete and correct as a whole.
- Understanding and adhering to MRBM’s Sage 300 People project implementation methodology.
