Shift Fitter x2 Johannesburg

Festive, one of South Africa's leading integrated poultry producers within the Astral Group, is looking for two shift fitters in the engineering department, commercial division. The roles will focus on ensuring that all processing machinery, conveyors, and automated lines run safely, efficiently, and without interruption during active production shifts.

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

General machining work in the workshop
General plant maintenance (pump, gearboxes, bearings).
Preventative maintenance and fault finding on mechanical equipment.
Attending to breakdowns and work under pressure.
Implementing of 20 Keys/ HACCP / Risk Control and apply general housekeeping rules.

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12, N3 Qualification/ Equivalent
Be in possession of a trade certificate as a Fitter
At least 5 years’ experience in factory maintenance.
Very good written and verbal communication skills.
Previous experience in a Poultry Processing Plant will be an added advantage
Be prepared to work shifts.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
Must be able to work on weekends and public holidays as required.
