1. Main Function of the Role

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role ensures that all warehouse activities align with company standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols. The Warehouse Manager will lead the warehouse team, optimize operational processes, and maintain inventory accuracy, supporting overall supply chain objectives.

2. Key Performance Areas

  • Warehouse Operations Management: Plan, organize, and manage all warehouse activities, including inbound and outbound logistics, stock control, and order fulfillment.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse staff to achieve high performance and maintain a safe, collaborative working environment.
  • Inventory & Stock Control: Ensure accurate inventory management, regular stock audits, and minimal discrepancies.
  • Process Optimization: Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes and procedures to maximize productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare operational reports, track key performance metrics, and implement solutions to improve warehouse performance.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery.

3. Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Warehouse Management.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory/management role.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as operational demands require.

  • Hands-on experience in demanding warehouse environments.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and MS Office.
  • Organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving operational issues.
  • Critical thinking to make sound decisions in complex situations.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills for managing teams and liaising with stakeholders.
