Purpose of the Role: 

  • Ensure Start up times are adhered to and make sure condition of equipment is up to standard and ready for use 
  • Ownership of equipment and accountability  
  • Perform Safety checks of equipment  
  • Manage and implement Quick change over techniques 

 

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Operating machine to fulfill efficiency. 
  • Start up and shut down of equipment. 
  • Assist with breakdowns of equipment.
  • Maintain hygiene and quality standards.
  • Ability to complete job and assist in meeting daily production targets.
  • Perform all job tasks with accuracy and speed.
  • Be an integral part of a high-performance team. 
  • Compliance to all Food, Health and Safety standards. 

 

Knowledge/ Experience: 

  •  Knowledge of Poultry Coating machinery would be an advantage. 
  • 2 years relevant experience.  

 

Skills & Attributes: 

  • Mechanical aptitude. 
  • Ability to achieve required production results. 
  • Ability to communicate in English. 
  • Psychically fit and able to work.  

 

Qualification: 

  • Grade 12 (Standard 10) with Maths, Science and Technical subjects or N3. 
  • It would be preferable for candidates to have a Poultry Meat Examiners/Inspectors Certificate.
