Purpose
As the Website Developer & Administrator you will be responsible for ensuring the company’s web presence is effective, engaging, and aligned with our business goals. The role combines technical expertise in WordPress, cPanel & WooCommerce for managing and optimizing the company’s websites, with creative and organizational skills to plan, coordinate, and deliver engaging brand visibility and support business growth.
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
- Code B Driver’s license.
- Diploma/Degree in Web Development (essential), Digital Marketing, or related field (advantageous).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in website development and website administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Development (essential). Batchelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology would serve as an added advantage.
- Proven experience in WordPress & WooCommerce development (themes, plugins, customizations) essential.
- Strong technical knowledge of cPanel, hosting management, and Domain Name Systems (DNS) configurations.
- Strong technical knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices and Google Analytics.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic PHP (advantageous).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Proficiency with desktop applications such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and AI graphics generators are an added advantage.
Key Result Areas
Website Development & Administration:
- Build, manage, and maintain company websites using WordPress, cPanel and WooCommerce.
- Keep our online presence running smoothly.
- Manage hosting, domains, emails, and security settings via cPanel.
- Regularly update plugins, themes, and integrations to keep everything secure and optimized.
- Boost site performance (speed, SEO, mobile responsiveness) for the best user experience.
- Troubleshoot any technical hiccups and keep downtime to a minimum.
Marketing Coordination:
- Assist with execution of marketing campaigns.
- Assist with the design and publish engaging content.
- Support brand awareness and lead generation through targeted online strategies.
- Assist with managing social media platforms and ensure consistent brand messaging.
- Assist with monitoring marketing performance and providing regular reports with actionable insights.
Personal
- Be proactive and engage with product owners, branch managers and the company’s teams in creation of website content.
- Be creative and proactive in all marketing campaigns and activities of the company and engage these via the websites.
- Must be a team player and have excellent communication skills.
- Must be agile and energetic.
