Fiduciary Administration Manager - ​2 Year  Fixed Term Contract
 
Job Summary: 
 
Coordination of operational and administrative services for the Botswana Life Fiduciary Services, fiduciary services offering which includes, provision of wills drafting, estates administration and trust drafting and administration. 
 
Key Performance Areas 
• Facilitate the drafting, signing, scanning, saving and updating of wills on the Wills database/system in alignment and fulfilment of legislative requirements. 
• Provide periodic reports with respect to both internal and external stakeholders. 
• Create and maintain a fiduciary information database.
• Respond to ad-hoc requests from clients and external stakeholders & resolve queries.
• Closely manage and observe all fiduciary processes and ensure adherence to same. 
• Drive the penetration of the fiduciary services offering in Botswana Life and come up with innovative campaigns to execute same.
• Facilitate the creation and completion of estate account reconciliations and processing of payment requests. 
• Facilitate administration of deceased estates and provide administrative support to executors of estates as nominated by Botswana Life in compliance with legislative requirements
• Facilitate trust meetings in the trust administration process and ensure regulatory adherence to all trust administration requirements in terms of the relevant legislation.
• Implement investment policy strategies for testamentary and intevivos trusts and manage assets held in trusts
• Define and refine fiduciary internal procedures, process and policies in respect of wills, trusts and administration of estates, including quality and control
• Ensure that compliance and risk management processes and procedures are in place and ensure adherence therewith
• Ensure that all fiduciary transactions comply with governing legislation to preclude reputational and other risks and also with the internal fiduciary service model. 
• Keep abreast of current trends and changes in the laws affecting wills, estates and trusts and the fiduciary industry as a whole, locally and to some extent internationally 
• Plan and facilitate delivery of training sessions for sales representatives and other client-facing people on fiduciary services offering, processes and legislative requirements
 
Knowledge & Skills 
• Self-driven and self-motivated individual

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention-to-detail 
• General knowledge of fiduciary services 
 
Experience
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar environment 
• Three (3) years must have been at supervisory level in the life insurance industry.
 
Qualification 
• Certification in Financial Planning qualification 
• Insurance and/or retirement fund management related qualification will be an added advantage
