ROLE PURPOSE

The Technician is responsible for performing vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs according to manufacturer and company standards. The role ensures quality work, timely job completion, and accurate reporting. A key responsibility is to uphold workshop targets, safety standards, and contribute to training junior staff, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Perform services, minor and major repairs
  • Write and report correctly on job cards
  • Diagnose work correctly the first time and ensure correct parts ordered and fitted
  • Continuous updating of vehicle progress to the team Foreman
  • Meeting production targets
  • Meeting CEM target
  • After hours standby duties
  • Follow-up on Work-in-Progress
  • Be able to train traineesΒ  Β 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 & relevant qualification in Automotive Mechanics
  • Namibian Citizenship
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Computer Literate – knowledge of V10 an advantage
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a qualified Technician
  • Proficient in English and Afrikaans
  • Understanding of technical and administrative aspects of the motor and service industry
