Job Purpose:

To coordinate the provision of information security services by defining, driving, and continuously improving strategies, systems, policies, and processes to prevent, detect and manage cyber threats and ensure high levels of system and data security and availability. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Works in conjunction with internal and external resources to introduce new ICT systems to the businesses in line with approved ICT Strategy.
• Oversees the identification of cyber risks by evaluating and researching industry cyber security threats and analysing internal weaknesses and vulnerabilities to the Group’s systems.
• Uses data encryption, firewalls, and other appropriate security tools and applications to conceal and protect transfers of confidential digital information.
• Safeguards system security and improves overall server and network efficiency by training users and promoting security awareness.
• Develops user manuals and training of end-users on contributes to the maintenance of user manuals.
• Performs risk assessments, audits, and tests to ensure proper functioning of data processing activities and security measures.
• Provides first level support of the transactional (line of business) systems to end users as necessary.
• Manages key vendor relationships and contracts.
• Provides input in the development of ICT policies and procedures.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Information Systems, or any other related fields. 
• IT Professional Certifications will be an added advantage especially in IT security.
• Minimum 3 years’ post qualifications experience,  having managed or coordinated the implementation of ICT systems in middle-sized to large organizations.
