Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Retail Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for creating, implementing and monitoring retail operational procedures across branches,
providing national operational support, leading key projects, and acting as a Relief Branch Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and streamline retail operational procedures nationally
• Train Branch Managers, Trainees and staff on operational standards
• Analyse sales, product and store data to improve efficiency
• Support branches with operational issues and ensure policy compliance
• Lead key projects in procurement, stock, merchandising, layouts and sales
• Act as Relief Branch Manager, overseeing full branch operations
• Maintain high store standards, merchandising and housekeeping
• Oversee customer service, credit control, and HSE compliance
• Manage stock accuracy and participate in stock takes
• Ensure new branch openings and renovations projects are executed effectively
Educational Background and Experience:
- Must have completed Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12 (NSSC-O) with 22 marks.
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Marketing, Building Management, Sales or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ retail experience in the retail or building merchants industry
- Strong knowledge of buying, admin, merchandising, sales and yard operations
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills
- Strong numerical and time‑management abilities
- English proficiency
