Role Responsibilities Customer Engagement and Needs Assessment Proactively engage with customers in person, over the phone, or via digital channels to understand their financial needs and goals. Conduct needs assessments to identify opportunities for selling suitable financial products and services. Build rapport with customers to establish trust and long-term relationships. Product Promotion and Sales Present and explain the features and benefits of various retail financial products. Tailor product recommendations based on individual customer profiles and financial objectives. Close sales by guiding customers through the application process and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed. Customer Service and Support Provide high-quality customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and offering ongoing support. Ensure a seamless onboarding process for new customers. Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and identify any additional needs. Cross-Selling and Upselling Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services to existing customers, such as insurance. Sales Planning and Execution Develop and execute a personal sales plan to meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs). Track and report on sales activities, pipeline development, and results to management. Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and product briefings to stay informed about new offerings and market trends. Market Research and Competitor Analysis Stay informed about market trends, competitor products, and customer preferences to enhance sales strategies. Provide feedback to management and product teams regarding customer insights and potential product improvements. Compliance and Risk Management Adhere to all internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance in all sales activities. Conduct due diligence to verify customer information and prevent fraud or financial crime. Qualifications & Experience A Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, marketing, or a related field is generally required. 5 years of experience in a sales role within the financial services industry, preferably in retail banking or consumer finance. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs. Experience in customer service or client relationship management is highly beneficial. Background in dealing with a variety of retail financial products.
