We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Systems Administrator to take ownership of our enterprise IT infrastructure spanning a primary and disaster recovery data centre and 85 branch sites connected via SD‑WAN. This role is suited to a senior professional with strong hands‑on expertise, sound operational judgement, and the ability to lead infrastructure stability, resilience, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead administration and optimisation of Dell servers and Dell PowerStore storage across primary and DR data centres Own the VMware vSphere / ESXi virtualisation environment, including performance, availability, and lifecycle management Design, manage, and validate Veeam Backup & Replication, including regular restore and disaster recovery testing Senior‑level administration of Microsoft Active Directory (GPOs, DNS, DHCP, identity governance) Support and integrate Microsoft 365, including SharePoint Online and hybrid identity scenarios Provide senior escalation support for infrastructure‑related issues within a Fortinet SD‑WAN environment Lead patching, monitoring, incident response, root‑cause analysis, and technical documentation Contribute to infrastructure standards, security hardening, and audit readiness Required Skills & Experience Proven senior experience in Windows Server enterprise environments Strong, hands‑on expertise with VMware, Veeam, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 Solid understanding of data centre operations, storage, high availability, and DR principles Experience with Linux systems will be advantageous Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills Qualifications Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or similar Equivalent senior practical experience will be considered Relevant Certifications (Preferred) VMware VCP – Data Center Virtualization Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) Microsoft Certified (Windows Server / Azure / M365) Fortinet NSE 4 or higher CompTIA Network+ or Security+ ITIL Foundation (or higher) What We Offer Responsibility for a large, enterprise‑grade IT environment Opportunity to influence infrastructure standards and resilience Professional development and certification support Competitive remuneration aligned to senior‑level experience
