Job Purpose

To drive exceptional achievement of portfolio sales targets to maximise profitability by managing sales activity levels in line with the Distribution Broker Strategy, through fostering a profitable relationship with Brokers & Corporate Agencies, pay points, worksites, and other critical stakeholders within the region


Key Performance Areas


Financial Management

  • Ensures Corporate agencies & brokers achieve income budgets through exceptional  support and service to brokers/agencies.

Business Results

  • Drives sales performance objectives of  each portfolio
  • Regular tracks and reports on sales activity and overall broker performance, ensuring alignment with the set and agreed levels of performance to drive sales
  • Oversees the onboarding of new Corporate Broker and Agencies  to grow the business
  • Maintains sound relationships with advisors and pay-points
  • Implements the product mix sales tactics in order to positively influence operational profitability, growth of VNB etc
  • Identify sales opportunities on an ongoing basis.
  • Conducts sales and activation campaigns in partnership with brokers.

Business Relationship

  • Engages with Brokers and corporate Agencies & Life managers within different portfolios to improve relationships.
  • Participates in Business conferences and seminars to increase networking opportunities and ensure corporate citizenship within the business environment.
  • Creates and nurture relationships with pay-points and other critical stakeholders to facilitate the sales process

High Quality Business Results

  • Ensures adherence  to sales processes to measure sales quality to improve profitability & Ensure verification of new business for quality assurance.
Governance and Quality Assurance
  • Ensures adherence to regulation, risk management tactics and laid out processes, guidelines  and procedures
People Management
  • Maintains and implements the acquisition teams penetration strategies, processes and tactics to meet the needs of customers with the most economic deployment of human and financial resources within the branch locality.
  • Drives performance through planning and regular review of staff
  • Manages and drives Sales Managers and Teams for the achievement of sales targets, Leave Management of Sales Managers, Performance Management of Sales Managers

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management or equivalent.
  • Three (3)years experience in the Sales and Marketing management
  • Long term COP
  • Associate in Insurance qualification
