1. Main Function of the Role

Operate and manage multilayer blown film extrusion lines while maintaining production, quality and safety standards. The role also provides technical guidance, training and skills transfer to production staff.

2. Key Performance Areas

  • Operate and control 3-layer blown film extrusion machines.
  • Set up machinery and optimise process parameters.
  • Monitor film quality, thickness and output consistency.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and minimise downtime.
  • Supervise shifts and ensure safe work practices.
  • Train and develop junior and local production employees.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams on mechanical issues.
  • Maintain production targets and quality standards.

3. Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications

  • Technical qualification in Plastics, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or a related field will be an advantage.
  • Relevant extrusion or machine-operation training/certification will be an advantage.

Experience

  • 8–10 years' hands-on experience in blown film extrusion.
  • Minimum 3 years' direct operational experience on 3-layer blown film extrusion lines.
  • Experience with HDPE, LDPE and LLDPE processing.
  • Experience with multilayer and/or monolayer extrusion systems.
  • Experience supervising, training or developing production teams.
